I'm not sure why this got such bad reviews. I thought it was perfectly acceptable as a chick flick. Nobody goes into these movies expecting them to change our lives, but it was a great diversion and an interesting storyline.
I haven't read the book, but I thought the movie was cute. John Krasinski was great and I really enjoyed Ginnifer Goodwin's performance. I guess my only complaint (and it's not REALLY a complaint... more of an observation) is that Kate Hudson's character behaved exactly the way I would expect a Kate Hudson character to behave. That's not really a slam against Kate. I just wish they'd cast in her a different type of role once in a while.
This is the second movie in a row with a former As the World Turns actress. Actually, for a brief time Ashley Williams was on the show the same time Jordana Brewster was and their characters overlapped. Thought that was kinda funny as I was typing up these reviews!
