The Beaver

I went into this movie with very, very low expectations. I mean seriously. It's about a guy whose beaver puppet speaks for him.

Wow, was I wrong! This movie was excellent. Mel Gibson's acting was incredible and I will be very disappointed if there isn't an Oscar nomination in there for him.

This wound up being an incredibly touching movie and how they managed to make that puppet seem almost real is beyond me. Jodie Foster deserves all kinds of kudos here as the director and as an actor.

This had the same believability and vulnerability as Lars and the Real Girl. It was funny, heartbreaking, and intense. The subplot with Gibson's son and a classmate was interwoven into the storyline and also very well done. I become a bigger fan of Jennifer Lawrence by the day.

I'm really hoping to be able to come back to this post and update the tags with Oscar nomiations.
