Everything Must Go

There are no words to describe how bad this movie was. I'm not even going to waste my time. If I'm grasping for something good to say, I'll comment on how nice it was to see Laura Dern. And the young actor who played Kenny was a bright spot. Other than that.... seriously. I have no words.

Instead, I'm just going to quickly comment on the MPAA ratings system. This was a fairly benign, albeit obnoxiously depressing, movie. And because in a quick scene where a very angry character tells another, "f*** you" twice (amid hurt and angry tears)... it gets slapped with an R rating. It's possible the word may have been uttered more than that, but I don't remember it.

They're consistent. I'll give them that. And I wouldnt want my (non-existant) kids to see it anyway because it's so bloody depressing. But the R rating is really rather absurd in my opinion.
